After experiencing a traumatic birth, Dr. Naha Pandya recognized a critical gap in postpartum healthcare for women. Motivated by this firsthand insight, she committed herself to research and community-building efforts aimed at addressing this often-overlooked area. Her dedication culminated in the development of The Recovery Method—an innovative approach designed to transform the future of postpartum care.

Dr. Pandya is also a proud mother of two, living in the suburbs of Chicago. In addition to her work as a physical therapy consultant and founder of The Recovery Method, she runs a wedding planning business. Outside of her professional pursuits, she enjoys reading, hiking in the mountains, and spending quality time with her family.

Throughout her career, Payal has supported women through every stage of womanhood, including gynecologic care, infertility, pregnancy, prenatal complications, postpartum recovery, perimenopause, and menopause. Her approach is rooted in education, empowerment, and compassionate advocacy, ensuring patients feel informed, supported, and never alone in their care.
Now fully embracing California as home, Payal lives with her husband and their two energetic boys. Outside of clinical practice and work with The Recovery Method, she enjoys reading, traveling with her family, and exploring new places to eat.
Payal Pandya
Payal Pandya Ocampo, PA-C, is an NCCPA-certified Physician Assistant with over ten years of experience providing comprehensive primary care and managing long-term health for patients of all ages. She earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and brings a broad clinical background that includes primary care, women’s health, mental health, preventive care, and chronic disease management.
Originally from Chicago, Payal followed her heart to California, where she practices medicine with a strong emphasis on relationship-based, patient-centered care. She believes trust is the foundation of meaningful, long-term health outcomes and is known for her ability to connect with patients on a personal level. She values caring for individuals and families across generations and working with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds to create individualized, sustainable care plans.
Payal’s commitment to women’s postpartum health is deeply personal. She has experienced postpartum care from both the medical and lived perspectives and has endured the heartbreak of multiple miscarriages, high-risk pregnancies, postpartum depression (PPD), postpartum anxiety (PPA), and the challenges of breastfeeding. With the support of postpartum providers, she navigated these experiences and emerged with a strong desire to pass that support forward. Through her own journey, Payal recognized the need for easier access to care, reliable education, direct connections to postpartum providers, and the “village” so many mothers are told they will have. This passion for change led her to join The Recovery Method, where she works to help create the postpartum support she once needed herself.
